I've found the Usborne "Complete Soccer School" a great source of sound advice, there are over 250 pages crammed with valuable know how, hundreds of colour pictures and diagrams making it easy to understand. Every developing footballer, school and club should have this book.
See the two example half pages below, women footballers are includecd too, well done Usborne !

Watching top class football match action is one of the best ways of understanding and learning new ideas, tactics and good team play.
Since some of the major games have gone to pay per view, cable and satalite TV, many budding footballers no longer get the opportunity to see important games.
Here is a good video with over 250 Of The Greatest Permiership Goals, which I've found invaluable to help my understanding of good moves and tactics .
At less than 14 UK pounds (inc pp) it's good value.
